CIF Girls Tennis

The girls tennis team just came up short in the Division I CIF Championship.  In one of the closest championships of all time, the Vikings were edged out by Torrey Pines.  The match ended in a 75-75 game tie, but the tie breaker was won in the doubles matches by Torrey Pines.

Carnaje Named Tennis Pro of the Year

Darice Carnaje, the varsity boys and girls tennis coach, was named 2018 Female Tennis Pro of the year by the San Diego Tennis Association.  Carnaje has lead both the girls and boys La Jolla High School tennis teams to Western League Championships and CIF titles.  Along with coaching tennis at LJHS, Carnaje is also the varsity

Western League Tennis Champions

Congratulations to senior Olivia Doehr and junior Peyton Westwood for winning the 2018 Eastern League Doubles Title.  The Doehr/Westwood upset the top seeded team in the semi-finals to play the #2 Coronado team in the finals.

Tennis Champions

Congratulations to senior Olivia Doehr and junior Peyton Westwood for winning the first ever Marguerite Tennis Tournament doubles title. The girls defeated the number one doubles team from Tesoro High School 6-0, 7-5.

Carnaje named CIF Tennis Coach of the Year

Darice Carnaje, head girls tennis and basketball coach was named the 2016 CIF tennis coach of the year.  In her inaugural year, Carnaje lead the lady Vikings to a Division I CIF team championship title.

Tennis CIF Champions

The Vikings Girls Tennis team won the 2016 CIF Division I CIF Championship.  They played Poway High School in a close match at the Barnes Tennis Center.  The Vikings came out on top by one point with Alex Kuo securing the win.
