La Jolla Vikings

Senior Gabe Solis received the Scholar Leader award from the National Football Foundation. Gabe plans on continuing his football career next year at the University of Chicago. 

The boys varsity has jumped to a 7-0 start to open up the season.  Headed by Kyle Smedley, the Vikings have 9 seniors on the team including Thomas Evans, Aiden Glenister, Bert Ousterhout, Nate Ryan, Evan Steinwinder, Ethan Tomaiko, Cavan Walsh, Oliver Wintringer and Morgan Watson.

Congratulations to the boys golf team for defeating Cathedral Catholic in the first round of league play.  La Jolla shot a 194 and Cathedral 196. Additionally, Aiden Johnson shot a 74 and finished 2nd at the Saints Tournament at San Diego Country Club.

Congratulations to the Boys Soccer and Girls Water Polo team for being named the 2019 All-Academic Teams. The boys soccer team earned an impressive unweighted GPA of 3.65.  Emiliano Godinez-Berlin  had the highest weighted GPA of the team with a 4.48. Additionally, the girls water polo had and almost flawless unweighted GPA of 3.81. Jensine Bugelli

SLJHS Girls Varsity LAX ties the score to 9-9 with ONE SECOND on the clock thanks to a turn-over by senior Reagan Jetter who passed (for the assist) to Sophomore Terra Evans who scores for the tie. In overtime, La Jolla scores the golden goal to win against Poway on the road!
