2018 Fall Sports Start Dates

LJHS 2018 Fall Athletics 2018-2019 Athletic Clearance registration opens June 4, 2018 on  ALL physicals must be after June 4, 2018 per SDUSD mandate.  There are 3 required forms to upload or turn in: History Form, Physical Form and the Activity Driver Form.  The Supplemental form is optional. Gates Selected for Youth USA National Team

Nathaniel Gates (Juniors one of 12 selected for the USA Volleyball’s 2018 Youth National Team. The team has been training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center and the Colorado Springs Christian School. It will leave Colorado Springs on Monday (June 4) for Costa Rica for the NORCECA U19 Continental Championship, which runs June 6-10. )

Boys LAX Headed to CIF Championship

CIF DIVE Champion

Congratulations to freshman Makenna Sammons for winning the Division 2 CIF Diving Championship.  Jordan Schultz finished second in the boys Division 2 Championship and freshmen Jordan Mariani finished third. Also, congratulations to our girls relay team of Thais Luiz, Jessica Newell, Shauna Franke, and Isabelle Brazell for qualifying to the state swim meet.

League Track Champions

Congratulations to the boys tennis team for winning the 2018 Division I CIF Tennis championship as well as the Western League Title!  The Vikings defeated Coronado High School in the Division I CIF championship match.  Members of the championship team include: Tommy Barton Edward Cheney Nicholas Cheney Alex Dobak Rafi Freund Carson Kellogg Mason Kellogg

Sinkeldam Sets Record

Congratulations to  Josie Sinkeldam for breaking the all-time hits record for La Jolla softball with a total of 164 hits and counting.  Sinkeldam has been a 4 year starter for the Vikings and lead the team to the 2017 CIF Championship title as the teams starting short-stop. Josie will continue her softball career in college
