Multiple Teams · Cross Country, Swim & Dive and Field Hockey Begin 2/1/2021 – Zoom Meetings

CIF San Diego Section has selected the date of Monday, February 1, 2021 as the official date to begin practices for the permissible, Purple Tier sports scheduled in Season 1.  Swim and Dive has been moved to season 1.  Cross Country and Swim & Dive will begin on 2/1/2021.

Field Hockey will begin CIF on 2/1/2021.  Since field hockey is in the red tier, they will begin with restricted practices.  Once we are in the red tier, field practices will be unrestricted and able to schedule games.

CDC and CIF guidelines state that each student athlete can only play in one cohort at a time.  This means that student athletes can only play one sport at a time at LJHS and are not allowed to play club sports while they participating in sports at LJHS.

If your student is planning on trying out for these sports, please make sure they get cleared through the athletic clearance process.  Athletic Clearance  They will NOT be able to participate if they have not been cleared prior to the tryout:

All athletes MUST bring the the below form with parents signature to tryouts:
If the athlete checks yes to a Covid-19 diagnosis, they MUST compete the below form and submit it to the trainer for clearance before they are allowed to participate:

Cross Country Tryout Information:

February 1 through February 5th 3:00pm – 5:00pm at LJHS Stadium

February 6 – 8:00am Location TBD

Swim and Dive Tryout Information:

February 1 through February  4

Freshmen and Sophomores from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm

Juniors and Seniors from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm

 

Field Hockey Tryout Information:
February 1 through February 5:
4:30pm – 6:30pm at LJHS Stadium
Meetings for golf, tennis and track and field will be scheduled in the next few weeks.
