La Jolla High School names Tyler Roach as the new head football coach. After a short stint at LJCD, Coach Roach returns to LJHS where he was the Offensive Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach for 3 years.  Roach led the most prolific offense in La Jolla history in 2014 and his offense broke San Diego section records in 2014 and multiple school records. In 2016, he led the LJCD Torrey defense to a CIF Division 4 Title, So Cal Regional Championship and State Runner up finish.  Roach has also coached in the Alex Spanos All Star Classic in 2016 and 2010.

Roach commented, “I plan to put an exciting product on the field every Friday night. One that the entire community can be proud of. I look forward to bringing back Alumni and bringing together the La Jolla Community on Friday nights. Gene Edwards Stadium will be the place to be!  I’m excited to implement my “Sail the Ship” mantra.  I just want to say thank you to my wife, my family and friends, and all of the great coaches I’ve worked with over the years. I’ve learned so many great things from some excellent men and I couldn’t be more excited to build my program at La Jolla High.”
